Wow, it is January, 2012, and most of you have either made resolutions, promises, started new habits, or not and started, stopped, started all over again, etc. Whoa, slow down, give yourself a break. Look at this message and let it soak in for you. The world is still going to turn as usual, the sun is still going to come up, your bills are still going to arrive on time or even early, and your ever demanding life is still going to go present itself with so many challenges
Point being, you cannot change any of the above. What you can change is your attitude and approach to all of the above. Remember this, dear friends, whatever degree you worry and stress, and how much hurrying you are doing does not and will not make “it” better. “It” is anything and everything on your plate, in your daytimer, in your schedule, and all your responsibilities to yourself, your work, and your families. Guess what? They are not going away. You know they are not, so why not take a few minutes a day to breathe in and out and slow it down just a couple of notches. This is not to say that few minutes a day will “change your life.” However, for you and all of your “its”, a few minutes could give your “its” a whole new perspective and you could own your “its”, instead of your “its” owning you. The few minutes might be before you start your engine, your tech engine, or your auto engine. Nike has it coined “Just Do It.“
When was the last time your heard or read in any research that worrying and hurrying were in the top 5% of the reasons you succeed in your personal, financial, emotional, physical and spiritual walks?
Remember, “Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.”
