The truth is, if we do not eat our vegetables and fruits in life, our body both mentally and physically will not perform at optimum level. We all know this just as much as we know if we do not get the proper amount of rest, exercise, and fluids we will suffer in some capacity. Of course, we have heard this over and over during our lives.

We have seen a beautiful plant limp for lack of water or sunshine or perhaps just a little TLC (tender loving care).

Many of us are just like that limp plant only surviving, barely staying alive. Yes, we have all the trappings that represent a healthy lifestyle. We know what they are, busy schedules doing, doing, doing, nice homes, beautiful clothes, well-planned vacations, and perhaps a fat bank account. However, is our lifestyle giving us the life that fuels us or is our life fueling our lifestyle?

Just a few days ago began the first day of spring. We all need to think about this as it compares to our lives. What if we would take time to take care of our God given bodies? Give it all it needs to thrive… ample rest, vegetables, fruits, much needed exercise. Sure our bodies could and have “survived”, however just imagine if we would take better care of ourselves how “thriving” would look and feel. Giving us some much-needed TLC (Tender Loving Care) might be your spring resolution.

A couple of weeks ago I visited with an old friend of mine, tennis. I had truly forgotten how good we are for each other. It was such a powerful visit that we decided we would meet on a weekly visit. I might encourage ALL of you to revisit anything that can help you “Stop Surviving and Start Thriving.”
